Character Sketches Governor The governor was simply right from the beginning. My gut almost made me say he was too much of a cold fish, but on second thought that added to him. Dallaire Meaner and older perhaps than I first imagined, but he's absolutely right for the part. Montague I liked the original drawing; in fact, I approved it. But Gio wasn't happy enough with him, and I think the second attempt makes Monty a person in his own right, instead of just being a side character. Capulet I didn't give Gio much to work with here. It was his decision that Caplan should express himself through his smoking, and this sketch made me smile. Rodriguez He's just so damned cool. Marley Gio's first drawing of Marley just didn't work for me- and he had a mullet. The second one changed what I thought about Marley, and I mean that in a very positive way. Dr. Ibrahim Khalel I liked the original drawing, but I wanted Khalel to be bigger, more physically imposing, and Gio's second take on the professor was perfect. Lowena Hawa Lowena is just right; I refused to tell Gio more for fear of jinxing it, and I'm going to do the same here. Back
